Jim sailing on Pendragon

Rev. James Eaton—Jim— has served churches in Washington, Wisconsin, Michigan and Connecticut and most recently in New York. “My focus has been on helping congregations renew, redevelop and recover their passion for mission and ministry.” After retiring in 2021, he has now become the Interim Pastor at Locust Grove United Church of Christ in York, PA.

Jim is married to Jacquelyn and has three kids and five grandkids. “Like a lot of families, we are scattered in geography but close in feeling. We are so blessed to share life as we all grow and change.”

He’s also passionate about sailing. Jim and Jacquelyn sail a classic Alberg 35 sloop named Pendragon out of Baltimore, MD. “Celtic monks speak of thin places, where it becomes easier to feel God moving and sailing is that for me. As the wind lifts the sails, I feel God moving my life the same way.”
